Benefits of Using Virtual Reality Technologies in Business and Brand Promotion

Virtual reality technologies have long been firmly established in business, and now many companies use them as an excellent tool for promoting their brand, and not only. Virtual reality is also used for other purposes, such as advertising campaigns, as well as in interaction with potential clients.



Shooting 360-degree videos helps create spectacular panoramic videos in which the viewer can control the viewing angle. Often, videos of this format are created for virtual tours. Using 3D tours in the entertainment and educational sphere allows the viewer to take, for example, a virtual trip to a museum. Also, this type of tour is suitable for companies whose work specializes in real estate and other services, including restaurants and hotels.

When comparing the 3D tour format with regular photos and videos, we can conclude that the 360-degree format wins against its competitors, and here's why:

• when viewing a 3D tour, the viewer experiences the effect of being present in the space through which the tour is conducted;

• when watching such a video, the viewer independently controls the angle;

• it is possible to show the entire room without missing a single detail;

• compared to photographs, 360 degree videos show much more information.

Using virtual tours in business helps attract the attention of potential clients and allows them to get acquainted with the place they are interested in without leaving home. 3D panoramas, being a very memorable shooting format, provide viewers with a visual demonstration of the object (restaurant, hotel, museum, etc.) and give the opportunity to see all the advantages of this establishment, so that the viewer will definitely visit it later.



The peculiarity of 360-degree video is that when watching such a video, the viewer really “immerses” himself in the center of the events taking place in the video. A person watching such a video can feel like a part of these events. That is why now you can often see various VR videos that are dedicated to a certain topic, for example, historical or technological. Also, virtual reality technology is often used in the production of video clips of various performers, which, by the way, has a positive effect on promotion and attracting attention.

In the second method, using a certain type of filming, a video is obtained in which each eye of the viewer receives its own video stream.

Then, after shooting, comes the next stage - stitching. At this stage, video recordings obtained from different lenses are "stitched" into one panorama.

When working with 360-degree video, you should also take into account some features: if errors occur at any stage of video creation, shooting or stitching, you may get a rather unpleasant motion sickness effect, or the picture may turn out completely unnatural. That is why at all stages it is necessary to approach the work on the video responsibly and try not to make mistakes, and if they are found, immediately correct them.

What areas are suitable for using VR video?

1. Exhibitions

360-degree video is perfect for creating a virtual tour of a particular exhibition, which will interest potential visitors and allow them to get acquainted with the exhibition venue and the items on display without leaving home. Using a virtual tour for such events is a great way to effectively advertise and attract visitors.

2. Restaurants

Similar to exhibitions, a virtual tour of the establishment will work great to increase the interest of potential visitors. Also, a 3D tour will allow them to evaluate the restaurant interior in advance and, for example, choose a suitable table for booking. Such technologies used on the establishment's website can really arouse the interest of visitors.

3. Factories

Using 3D tours for factories that specialize in completely different products can interest potential large customers and facilitate their influx. An unusual tour of the factory premises will help interested customers evaluate the environment at the enterprise, including the equipment, and, possibly, the products that this factory manufactures.

4. Schools and universities

The use of virtual reality technologies in the field of education can help parents of future schoolchildren or future students to evaluate the school/university facilities and decide on admission to a particular educational institution. In addition, a virtual tour of a school/university easily replaces a real tour, which saves time not only for applicants, but also for teachers and employees of this organization.
